STRAIN TRAITS

Details

We’ve added a fast flowering twist to the legendary Acapulco Gold by crossing it with a stable Ruderalis genetic. On its own, Acapulco Gold has somewhat elusive origins, but we do know it was first found or bred in Acapulco, Mexico. Today it’s one of the most highly sought-after sativa dominant hybrids for growth and consumption due to its pleasurable results in both. This feminized autoflowering variety will be ready in far less time than its photoperiod counterpart and still delivers 20-24% THC for a potent buzz that’s more euphoric than most.

Effects

Acapulco Gold’s effects show off its true sativa nature, with a euphoric and energetic buzz. It hits the head fast with a calming, cerebral rush of effects that is beneficial for common conditions like stress, anxiety, and PTSD. The strain also offers the same calming effects for the body, relieving pain and producing an all-over sense of comfort. Do be aware, that the variety is also well known for producing cotton mouth and dry eyes, so have that water and eye drops on hand before you light up.

Growing

Similar to the climate of Mexico where it originated, these Acapulco Gold seeds will flourish in outdoor or indoor environments that are temperate, Mediterranean-like and arid. The plants reach medium heights of 120cm - 150cm and may be somewhat tricky for beginner growers to manage as the plants often grow quite “leggy” and tall. Intermediate and advanced growers are successful at managing the plant’s unpredictable growth by staking and shaping the plant, which can be easily implemented, too. Outdoors, the variety is typically ready to harvest in October for most regions and you can expect yields of anywhere from 500-600gr/m² in just 8-10 weeks.

Appearance & Aroma

The name Gold didn’t come out of anywhere, as it references the Acapulco Gold strain’s glimmering golden hue. Uniquely green, brown, and golden, the variety certainly stands out in any plot and shines under the sun or light with a dusting of crystal-like trichomes. Inside the dense, chunky buds are tropical aromas of sweet citrus, that have a hint of all-natural earthy pine.

MSNL Editors Verdict

A classic strain with autoflowering capabilities, what’s not to love? We’ll be blunt - if you consider yourself a cannabis connoisseur and get the chance to grow Acapulco Gold seeds you’ve got to take it. Not only will it boost your confidence in your cultivation skills, but it’ll deliver the type of sativa effects that’ll uplift your mood, for all-day everyday use. This auto variety makes cultivating it a tad bit more simple and still delivers high yields, too.

Tasting Notes
